KEY PURPOSE OF JOB recruitment portal 2021

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for movement of
customer orders from the loading point until a final safe and timely delivery is completed in a cost
effective and time-bound manner. recruitment portal 2021

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Revenue optimization & Cash Management

• Maximize revenue through fulfilment of orders by ensuring trip targets are achieved
• Disbursement of loading fees and trip allowance to drivers
• Collates and process Driver Waybills for Invoicing
• Compiles daily expense reports from all depot to the contract manager

2. Provide value-added Customer services

• Serves as the first point of contact for customers on day to day operations in order to clear
any exceptions or issues
• Follows through on special orders, problems, questions and issues that require immediate
attention and answers
• Engages drivers on safe and timely delivery of customer products and escalate bottlenecks
when necessary

3. Coordinate logistics and transport operations including:

• Daily preparation of list of available trucks to be utilized for operations
• Coordinates inspection of trucks calibration charts on monthly basis and tracking of expiry
dates
• Conducts Pre trip briefing for drivers and ensure journey plan is issued before dispatch
from the loading plant/location
• Records and shares a planned journey on the trip analysis sheet with stakeholders within
Operations and Journey Management Control Centre
• Monitors operational compliance to the journey plan (TAT; durations on journey plans,
etc.)
• Monitors truck’s turn around and give possible feedback to the contract manager on siding
or offsite repairs.
• Liaises with Fleet Maintenance unit to ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired in line
with maintenance and repair schedules
• Ensures submission and collection of monthly Truck Movement cards
• Reviews journey and carries out a post briefing session with the drivers.
